John Deere To Showcase New Products At Cereals 2024
John Deere will exhibit its latest new and updated products for UK farmers at the upcoming Cereals show in June. Cereals is one of the biggest farming events in the UK, featuring cutting-edge research and development, machinery demonstrations, and informational sessions from leading agronomists. The 2024 event has a new site at Bygrave Woods, Newnham Farm in Hertfordshire, and will take place on 11 and 12 June in tandem with its new co-hosted event, DirectDriller@Cereals.
Innovations On Display
Visitors to the show will get their first chance to see John Deere’s new S7 Series combines, 5M tractors, R740i and R962i sprayers, and the 8R410 tractor with stepless eAutoPowr.
The four new S7 models have power ratings ranging from 449 to 617 horsepower (330 to 454 kilowatts). The 75-tonne-per-hour combines fill the space between Deere’s smaller T Series and largest X9 Series. The S7 Series shares some of the features of the X9 Series and packs new automation technology that Deere says enhances grain quality and machine efficiency. Their spacious premium cab improves operator comfort.
The 513M will represent the 5M range at Cereals. The 135-HP (99-kW) tractor is the top power model of the portfolio. The 5M Series has PowrQuad Plus and Powr8 transmission options, which provide continuous pulling power and smooth gear shifts.
See Machines In Action
Deere & Company will hold demonstrations in the Spray and Sprayers Arena of the 24-metre (79-foot) R740i trailed sprayer, the 36-m (118-ft) R962i, and the 340M self-propelled sprayer. Each sprayer has the PowrSpray dual-circuit system with fast filling and turnaround.
The sprayers also have Active Pause and Fast Direct Rate Control with 98% accuracy, automatic filling, automated agitation, and multi-modal rinsing systems. The Individual Nozzle Control System reduces overlaps and misses.
“It has been a busy six months of product launches and updates so we’re really keen to show farmers these machines and their technology up close,” says John Deere Tactical Marketing Manager Chris Wiltshire. “We’ve also got a couple of surprises in store which visitors will have to wait until the event to find out about, so there are plenty of reasons to come to the John Deere stand at this year’s show.”
