Teagle Machinery was founded in 1943 close to Truro in Cornwall by William Thomas Teagle. Teagle was a self-taught engineer who inherited a farm from his father at the tender age of 19. He soon began to make his own equipment to use around the farm and this then developed into building carts and trailers to sell to other farmers in the local area.

The company soon expanded its range and in the 1940s offered innovative automatic potato planters, followed by front-end loaders in the 1950s. The first ever three-point mounted spinner fertilizer followed, along with the renowned Jetcut hedge trimmer. In the 1980s Teagle designed the Tomahawk bale shredders, feeders and bedders.

Today the company offers the most comprehensive range in this sector of any firm in the industry. Celebrating its 70th birthday in 2013, the company is renowned for its practical approach to farming equipment and an outstanding dedication to customer service.

It is the widest range available on the market, handling everything from pre-processing straw to clamp silage.
