Krone Promotion Gives MX & RX Forage Wagon Buyers Free SpeedSharp Blade-Sharpening System
Krone typically offers its exclusive and fully automatic SpeedSharp sharpener system as an option with its MX and RX series of self-loading and forager-filled forage wagons. (The company also manufactures AX and ZX self-loading and forager-filled forage wagons and TX silage trailers.) From now until 28 February or while stock lasts, however, the German agri machine manufacturer including SpeedSharp free with every purchase of an MX or RX wagon.
Speedy Sharpening
Krone was founded in Germany in 1906 and established a UK office in Leeds in 2009. In addition to forage wagons and trailers, the family-owned firm manufactures mower conditioners, disc mowers, rotary tedders and rakes, round and large square balers, pellet harvesters, and forage harvesters. Its MX forage wagons are available in MX 330 GL/GD, MX 370 GL/GD, and MX 400 GL models featuring a 41-blade cutting system. RX models include the RX 360, RX 400 GL/GD, and RX 430 GL, which include a standard 46-blade cutting system.
SpeedSharp, meanwhile, consists of a hydraulic shaft fitted with automatically controlled and sliding grinding discs. The 24 flap discs in use provide a “cold grind that prevents the knives from annealing,” says Krone, which adds that because the system grinds blades while they’re still attached, operators gain “great flexibility” and save considerable time otherwise spent replacing blunt blades.
Four Minutes Fast
Operators need only pull out a respective wagon’s blade cassette and swing it alongside the wagon. The integrated SpeedSharp system then folds upward above the blades, fixing them in place with a retaining comb. A simple press of a button engages the blade cassette and grinder. SpeedSharp can sharpen 23 blades simultaneously and 41 blades in just four minutes.
You’ll find a big selection of forage wagons for sale every day on this site, as well as number of new and used Krone agri machines.
